Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using 2lazy2read, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

1. Service

2lazy2read is a desktop read-aloud service that helps turn selected text into audio. The service may prepare selected text for clearer listening before generating audio.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate account and billing information and promptly update it when needed.

3. Subscriptions and credits

Paid plans provide one monthly credit balance shared by MeloTTS, Aura 1, Aura 2, text polishing, summaries, fallbacks, and retries. MeloTTS usage is measured from generated audio duration; Aura usage is measured from the characters sent for speech. Approximate minutes or characters shown in the app or website are estimates only. Annual plans are billed yearly at the displayed annual rate, while credits still reset monthly and do not roll over. MeloTTS also has the daily limit stated for each plan.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use 2lazy2read to violate law, infringe rights, abuse or overload the service, bypass account limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other users.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the text, files, and other content you choose to process. You are responsible for having the rights needed to use that content with 2lazy2read. We do not claim ownership over your content.

6. Deletion

You may delete individual history and audio records in the app. You may also delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your account, credentials, sessions, user-owned history records, and user-owned stored audio from active systems, except limited records we must retain for legal, tax, payment, abuse-prevention, or security reasons.

7. Service changes

We may update features, plans, credit amounts, daily fair-use limits, or pricing. If changes materially affect a paid subscription, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice before the change takes effect.

8. Intellectual property

The 2lazy2read app, website, branding, software, and service design belong to 2lazy2read or its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2lazy2read is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or revenues.
